Theoretical thinking represents a high-level form of cognition grounded in the principles of dialectical materialist methodology and logical reasoning processes, enabling the creation of theoretical knowledge that increasingly reflects the essence of phenomena more accurately. The development of theoretical thinking capacity plays a crucial role in enhancing the academic quality of lecturers at universities in general and at Vietnam Maritime University in particular. For lecturers in the Faculty of Political Theory, theoretical thinking capacity encompasses the ability to think scientifically and creatively, apply theoretical knowledge, and propose appropriate and scientifically grounded tasks and solutions in teaching Political Theory subjects. This capacity significantly contributes to safeguarding the ideological foundation of the Communist Party of Vietnam and combating erroneous and hostile viewpoints in the current sociopolitical context.
